Ballinger Reunion a Success!

Waco Valley’s first reunion of 2021 was held in Ballinger, TX on Saturday, March 27 with six new Master Masons elevated to the 32°.

Thanks goes to Ballinger Ancillary Lodge of Perfection for hosting the event, and to Rick Trogdon, 33° IGH for serving as Reunion Master. We also would like to thank Mike Waldrop, 33° IGH for extending his, and Waco Valley’s, continued support, and to Jim Rumsey, 33° IGH for bringing his knowledge and insights to our Brethren.

As a reminder, the next reunion is scheduled for May 15, 2021 in Waco, TX:

The Benefit Gun Show will be hosted by The Real Texas Gun Show. All federal, state and local firearm ordinances and laws must be obeyed.

This gun show is to help raise funds for the Scottish Rite Foundation of Texas’ many charities in the State of Texas. This is the FIRST show of a twice yearly benefit hopefully for many years to come here in Waco.

Remember:

  • These are one-day reunions where brothers will receive the 4th, 14th, 18th, 30th, and 32nd Degrees.
  • The cost of the reunion is $275.00.
  • Coffee and donuts will be provided before the reunions and a lunch will be served at each reunion. 
  • Reunions in Ballinger and Henderson will be unable to receive credit card payments, so please bring cash or check.

Please let all the masons of your Blue Lodges know about these reunions!

Note:

  • If you are the top-line signer on 3 petitions for 2021, we will pay your 2022 dues.
  • If you are the top-line signer on 12 petitions, we will give you an endowed membership in WSRB ($1250 value). It does not matter how long it takes you to get those 12 petitions.  We will keep a total for you.

If you need a petition, just let Mike know and he can email one to you. If you have a candidate for the March 27, 2021 reunion, get the petition to Mike as soon as possible so he can have his file with him in Ballinger.

50th Anniversary

 

 

 

Lee Lockwood 50th Anniversary

The 50th Anniversary of the Lee Lockwood Library and Museum is approaching. We at the Scottish Rite Foundation of Texas along with the Waco Scottish Rite Bodies, the Lee Lockwood Library & Museum, and the 50th Anniversary Committee members have been working very hard on the 50th Anniversary, while also working to bring the building into the public eye here in Waco. Over the last three years, we have been renovating and redesigning the Library and Museum. Our goal is to bring the building into the modern age and include ourselves in the Waco tourist circuit.
On September 21, 2019, we will hold a Grand Re-Opening “Golden Gala: A Night at the Museum” 50th Anniversary celebration that will be open to the public and will act as the first event of the new Lee Lockwood Library and Museum. All proceeds from the Gala will go towards the preservation of the Lee Lockwood Library and Museum.
We are asking that everyone participate in the Gala so that we can continue to enjoy this magnificent building for another 50 years as we serve our Fraternity and Community. December 3rd Announcements

Monday Announcements

Brethren,

-Our December Stated Meeting is this evening. The meal starts at 6:30 with the meeting to follow with election of officers.

-No more 4th Saturday breakfast until after the first of the year.

-January meeting will be installation of officers and candidate forum for those running for the Grand South of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, and will take place on January 7, 2019.

-Next reunion will be April 12 & 13, 2019.

-There will be no Golf in the month of December.

-The Waco Scottish Rite Bodies and the Lee Lockwood Library and Museum will be closed for the Christmas Holiday from December 20 to January 2.

-The 3rd Monday of every month is Scottish Rite degree practice. The 6° practice will be held on December 17th with dinner being served at 6 PM and the degree to follow. We are asking that anyone who is interested in behind the scenes work (sound, lighting, prop work, ect) to come to the practice.

-We are slowly working our way towards the 50th Anniversary. The first of two major events called Robert Burns Night will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
